La influencia de Edward Hopper en el cine

Abstract

El trabajo propone una aproximación a las relaciones entre la pintura y el cine. La manera en la que las manifestaciones artísticas han influenciado al séptimo arte. El análisis de la relación entre la pintura y el cine centrado en la figura del pintor norteamericano Edward Hopper, cuya influencia se ha desarrollado en muchos directores a lo largo del siglo XX hasta la actualidad. A partir del estudio de los directores Alfred Hitchcock, David Lynch y Tod Haynes, se descubren los personajes nostálgicos, las calles vacías y el reflejo de la soledad que caracterizan al pintor.

The article proposes an analytical approach to the relations between the realistic painting and the cinema. The way in which artistic manifestations have influenced the seventh art. The analysis of the relationship between painting and cinema focused on the figure of the American painter Edward Hopper, whose influence has developed in many directors throughout the 20th century to the present day. From the studio of directors Alfred Hitchcock, David Lynch and Tod Haynes, are discovered the nostalgic characters, the empty streets and the reflection of the loneliness that characterizes the painter.
