La problemàtica de la despoblació en l’àmbit escolar a la comarca de Els Ports

Abstract

L’escola rural és un món desconegut per a molta gent, i especialment el vincle que guarda amb la despoblació d’aquestes zones. El present treball pretén acostar-se a l’impacte que han patit les escoles de la comarca dels Ports, a la província de Castelló, com a conseqüència del declivi demogràfic que arrossega des de principis dels anys seixanta, a causa de l’èxode rural incentivat per la falta de treball en el sector primari. Amb aquest estudi es vol donar a conèixer una comarca oblidada, i especialment donar a conèixer el paper de l’escola al llarg del segle XX. Per fer possible aquesta investigació el treball combina la realització d’entrevistes en profunditat a habitants d’aquesta comarca per a fer un treball que s’acoste el més possible a la realitat, a més de documents històrics i estadístiques demogràfiques que han sigut un suport complementari per a dotar de credibilitat aquest treball.

The rural school is an unknown world for many people, and especially the link that saves with the depopulation of these zones. This work aims to get closer to the impact that schools in the county of Els Ports have suffered, as a consequence of the demographic decline that has dragged since the early sixties, due to the rural exodus encouraged by the lack of work in the primary sector. This study aims to publicize a forgotten region, and especially to publicize the role of schools throughout the twentieth century. To make this research possible, the work combines the carrying out of interviews in depth to the inhabitants of this region to make a work that approaches as much as possible to reality, in addition to historical documents and demographic statistics that have been a complementary support to give credibility this work.
