Economic growth and environment

Abstract

This project aims to carry out a study of the main authors who have contributed to analyze the environmental Kuznets curve. The relationship between economic growth and the environment can be analyzed from various perspectives. Several studies find that this relationship is positive, on account of this an optimistic current began. On the contrary many others argue that it is negative, so the pessimistic current also exits. Throughout the years many authors have expanded the main study of the environmental Kuznets curve (EKC). So we will focus on different points of view and detail how their conclusions have evolved and changed over the years.
