Esperanza en la escuela

Abstract

El presente trabajo final de grado, tiene como propósito investigar sobre la evolución de la educación durante la primera mitad del siglo XX y comparando ésta con la actualidad. Para dar cumplimento a este objetivo, se ha procedido a la realización de una investigación cualitativa, empleando la historia de vida como método de recogida de la información y su posterior análisis. El sujeto de la muestra, fue estudiante de la Escuela Normal de Magisterio de Valencia durante una época con cierta transición política e ideológica. Posteriormente, ejerció como maestra cursillista durante la Guerra Civil Española, perteneciendo al bando republicano. A través de la historia de vida, lo que se pretende es reconstruir la biografía educativa y personal del sujeto de la historia de vida, Esperanza Collado, a través del testimonio de su nieta, Esperanza Polit, recogiendo los aspectos sociales y educativos que formaron su perspectiva de docente y su manera de ser e indagando en los métodos educativos, en las materias de cada etapa educativa y en los cambios legislativos educativos y sociales que vivió durante su corta vida. Tras el análisis de la información recogida en la historia de vida, las conclusiones obtenidas muestran el avance y retroceso de la educación desde comienzos del siglo XX hasta la actualidad.

The purpose of this final degree project is to investigate the evolution of education during the first half of the 20th century and to compare it with the current one. To achieve this objective, a qualitative investigation has been carried out, using Life History as a method of collecting information and its subsequent analysis. The subject of the sample, was a student at the Normal School of Teaching in Valencia during a time with certain political and ideological transition. Later, she worked as a trainee teacher during the Spanish CIvil War, belonging to the Republican side. Through the Life History, it is intended to reconstruct the educational and personal biography of the subject of the sample, Esperanza Collado, through the testimony of her granddaughter, Esperanza Polit, collecting the social and educational aspects that formed her perspective as a teacher and her personality, and investigating the educational methods, in the subjects of each educational stage and in the educational and social legislative changed that she lived during her short life. After analyzing the information collected in the life story, the conclusions obtained show the advance and retreat of education from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day.
