GENDER PERSPECTIVE IN THE WORK ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

Human beings are facing a world full of inequalities and violence including gender based violence Many women suffer gender based violence in the different areas of their lives including their workplace This situation of injustice has produced what is known as the gender perspective The aim of the study has been to examine scientific bibliograph related to gender perspective in work environment In order to conduct the review 46 articles were initially examined A total of 33 were selected after the first read out Finally the 17 articles that figure in the references were chosen The results obtained have allowed us to accept the hypothesis that women suffer more violence in work environments than men Based on the results it has been seen that not only women suffer more, but also with higher intensity The results show that women not only suffer more, but also more intensely from violence It is reflected in the language the leadership style the differences between the number of female and male leaders the job the glass ceiling and the wage difference

Los seres humanos nos encontramos inmersos ante un mundo lleno de desigualdades y violencia, entre ellas las de género Muchas mujeres sufren violencia de género en los diferentes ámbitos de su vida, entre ellos, en el laboral Esta situación de injusticia ha dado origen a lo que se conoce como perspectiva de género El objetivo del trabajo ha sido la revisión bibliográfica de artículos científicos sobre la perspectiva de género en el ámbito laboral Para llevar a cabo la revisión se consultaron inicialmente 46 artículos, de los cuales se seleccionaron 33 tras una primera lectura Finalmente se escogieron los 17 que aparecen en las referencias Los resultados obtenidos han permitido aceptar la hipótesis planteada, se puede afirmar que las mujeres sufren más violencia en el mundo laboral que los hombres En base a los resultados se ha visto que no solo la sufren más, sino con más intensidad Esto se ve reflejado a través del lenguaje, del estilo de liderazgo, de las diferencias entre el número de líderes mujeres y hombres, del puesto de trabajo, del techo de cristal o de la diferencia salarial
