REVISIÓN SOBRE REHABILITACIÓN NEUROCOGNITIVA EN TRASTORNO MENTAL GRAVE (ESQUIZOFRENIA)

Abstract

La presente revisión bibliográfica se ha centrado en las publicaciones más recientes, en el periodo que abarca de 2010 a 2020, sobre investigación acerca de los tratamientos de neurorehabilitación cognitiva en pacientes con Trastorno Mental Grave - esquizofrenia- que se está aplicando en la investigación de esta última década. Con el presente trabajo se puede perfilar una tendencia al estudio de esta enfermedad mediante la investigación experimental como principal vía de trabajo y la aplicación de terapias de neurorehabilitación cognitiva (CRT) preferentemente complementado con otras terapias centradas en entrenamientos de habilidades sociales o conductuales, frente a otros programas que habían venido siendo utilizados hasta ahora como la Terapia Psicológica Integrada (ITP). Nuestra revisión nos ha conducido a dar relevancia a la selección de los participantes en los tratamientos, cuyos periodos de aplicación mayoritariamente oscilan entre 1 y 3 meses, observando que en general existe una tendencia a investigar con pacientes con edades comprendidas entre los 18 a los 65 años, muestras que ofrecen un perfil adulto pero no longevo de los mismos y que por tanto, evitan la influencia de otras enfermedades neurodegenerativas asociadas al envejecimiento. Como método de trabajo hemos hecho una primera amplia selección en relación al Trastorno Mental Grave (TMG) seleccionando de distintas fuentes bibliográficas publicaciones relacionadas con rehabilitación cognitiva, esquizofrenia y funcionamiento psicosocial. Para la obtención de nuestras conclusiones se han seleccionado aquellas publicaciones referidas a investigaciones con pacientes (humanos), adultos, diagnosticados claramente con dicha patología y/o trastornos psicóticos. Que además, pudieran contener información sobre el método de investigación, el tipo de evaluación, las técnicas aplicadas, la muestra y las características de la población con la que se ha trabajado para estudiar posibles sesgos en este sentido.

This bibliographic review has focused on the most recent publications, in the period spanning from 2010 to 2020, on research on cognitive neurorehabilitation treatments in patients with Severe Mental Disorder -schizophrenia- that is being applied in the investigation of this last decade. With the present work we can outline a tendency to study this disease through experimental research as the main way of working and the application of cognitive neurorehabilitation (CRT) therapies, 2 preferably complemented with other therapies focused on training of social or behavioral skills, compared to others. programs that had been used until now such as Integrated Psychological Therapy (ITP). Our review has led us to give relevance to the selection of participants in treatments, whose application periods mostly range from 1 to 3 months, noting that in general there is a tendency to investigate with patients between the ages of 18 to 65 years, samples that offer an adult but not a long-term profile of them and that therefore avoid the influence of other neurodegenerative diseases associated with aging. As a working method, we have made a first broad selection in relation to Severe Mental Disorder (SMI), selecting from different bibliographic sources publications related to cognitive rehabilitation, schizophrenia and psychosocial functioning. In order to obtain our conclusions, those publications referring to research with (human) patients, adults, clearly diagnosed with said pathology and / or psychotic disorders, have been selected. They could also contain information on the research method, the type of evaluation, the techniques applied, the sample and the characteristics of the population with which we have worked to study possible biases in this regard.
