By literature search, it is intended to study the concepts of infidelity, aggression, jealousy and
how them are a coercion mechanism towards the couple. Previous studies reveal characteristic
features of men who exercise gender violence such as low self-esteem or lack of anger control
(Nóblega, 2012, cited in Rodríguez et. al., 2019). Therefore, the objectives of the present study
are to find out the incidence of jealousy in the sample we studied and to see to what extent
there is a differential grouping of feelings, thoughts and behaviors in men and women; and the
hypotheses are that it is expected to find a group in which the greatest evidence of men prevails
in the face of sexual infidelity, anger and aggressiveness; and higher scores for women in the
face of emotional infidelity, sadness, fear and anxiety. The sample is made up of 96 subjects with
ages between 19 and 33 years. Participants completed the Jealousy Inventory and various
statistical analyzes are combined with the SPSS program. The results partially support the initial
hypothesis, since by choosing the Likert scale, women experienced greater tests for emotional
infidelity, anxiety and the feeling of deciding to end the relationship. Still it will be higher score
than men in sexual infidelity. Through forced choice, men score more in jealousy for sexual
infidelity. [-]
