El vidre circular hemisfèric de la vil•la romana de Vinamargo, Castelló

Abstract

La presència dels fragments de vidre pla i circular hemisfèric documentats en la villa romana de Vinamargo (Castelló) ens ha permès arribar a la conclusió que es coneixia la seua funcionalitat arquitectònica, així com els canvis tecnològics i de fabricació que anaven produint-se. L’alt nivell econòmic i social que va tenir aquesta villa romana, junt a les relacions comercials amb altres parts de l’Imperi, van ser claus fonamentals per aconseguir l’entrada de diferents objectes de vidre.

The presence of the flat and hemispheric circular glass fragments documented in the Roman villa of Vinamargo (Castellón), has allowed us to draw the conclusion that its functional architecture was very well known altogether with the technological and manufacturing development of that period of time. Social and economical high level of this roman village joined to the commercial relationship with the rest of the Empire, made it possible the entry of very different and interesting pieces of glass.
