Redescubriendo la píldora

Abstract

Redescubriendo la píldora es un documental audiovisual que muestra los posibles efectos secundarios que puede presentar en las consumidoras de este fármaco. Contextualiza su uso en España y además, estudia las posibles reacciones adversas mediante voces expertas y testimonios de mujeres que han presentado efectos secundarios. En el estudio, analizamos su composición y las reacciones que podía acarrear su uso en los inicios y los que existen en la actualidad con las dosis hormonales correspondientes. Debido a que cada vez hay más información, existe una mayor concienciación acerca de los posibles efectos adversos que puede sufrir su cuerpo. Por este motivo, existe una tendencia en la actualidad hacia métodos contraceptivos más naturales y una mayor capacidad de decisión por parte de la propia mujer. Según José Ramón Serrano, presidente de la Sociedad Española de la Contracepción (SEC), hay un incremento en el uso de los LARC (métodos de concepción eficaz a largo uso) y un aumento de búsqueda de alternativas anticonceptivas con menos efectos secundarios.

Rediscovering the pill is an audiovisual documentary that shows the side-effects that may have this contraceptive pill in the women who take it. It contextualizes their use in Spain and studies possible side effects by expert voices and testimonies of women who have consumed them. In the study, we analyze their composition and reactions that could result from its use in the beginning and those that currently exist with current hormonal doses. Due to there is more and more information there is greater awareness about the possible side effects that the body can suffer. For this reason, we can observe a new trend today to the most natural contraceptive methods and a greater-decisions power on the part of women themselves. In according with José Ramón Serrano, president of the Contraception Spanish Society, there is an increment in the use of the LARC (long-acting reversible contraception). Also, there is an increase in the search of contraceptive alternatives with less secondary effects, according to the SEC president.
