In January 2013 Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron called for a referendum for the 23rd of June 2016. People of the United Kingdom (UK) and Gibraltar went to the polls to decide about his future in the European Union (EU) 1. This referendum had two options which are “remain” in the European Union or “leave” the European Union. When the votes were counted the result was very similar. 51,9 percent of the people in the United Kingdom voted to “leave” the EU in front of the 48,1 percent of people who voted “remain” in the EU.
