dc.description.abstract | The aims of this current project in my passage through the Organometallic Chemistry group and Homogeneous Catalysis research group, at the University Jaume I, were divided in the following three: To obtain the 2,6-Bis(3-ethynyl-5-tert-butylphenyl)pyridine, a ligand precursor for the preparation of a new di-Au(I) metallotweezer. This compound is reported in the literature, but we aim to improve its synthesis. To synthetize the new metallotweezer based of the alkynyl fragment in 2,6-Bis(3- ethynyl-5-tert-butylphenyl)pyridine, in combination with a N-heterocyclic carbene ligand fused with a pyrene fragment. To study this system for the recognition of organic substrates by exploiting the - surface areas of the polyaromatic-adorned NHCs ligands. | ca_CA |
