This bachelors thesis is based in a study of the measurement uncertainty using
two different reference samples of known concentration and uncertainty by
Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS). Combined uncertainty
has been calculated for many different methods of calibration and solution
preparation. External and standard addition with and without internal standard were
used together with solution preparation by volume or by weight. Additionally, linear
regression and weighted linear regression were used. A solution of 20 µg/L of
Cerium (Ce) has been used as internal standard (IS). The combined measurement
uncertainty results are not the expected a priori, but could serve as a base for a
future experiment. [-]
