Broadband Dielectric Spectroscopy (BDS) at elevated pressures and Positron Annihilation LifetimeSpectroscopy (PALS) are employed to elucidate the importance of the ratio of activation and freevolumes during vitrification. We show that this ratio has a linear correlation with the structural relaxationof glass forming liquids in a wide temperature range hence engendering it as a vital input in thedescription of the dynamic glass transition.
