Programas de intervención con agresores en los casos de violencia de género

Abstract

Gender violence is a problem that is very present today, there are specific laws such as the Organic Law 1/2004 for Gender Violence, which protect the rights and integrity of affected women, but there are also other resources to protect them. These resources are the intervention programs with aggressors, which in turn are the main subject for which this study is developed. The objective is to analyze these treatments, specifically the PRIA program, with the intention of demonstrating its effectiveness and to clarify if they fulfill the function of reeducaring and reintegrating the subject who commits maltreatment towards his or her partner. For this it has been necessary to resort to the recidivism indexes, which are obtained once the men finish the treatment, and that is when their behavior is evaluated before the beginning of it and after its completion. The results obtained have been very positive, since the percentage of recidivism is quite low compared to that of reeducation. It can be affirmed that the vast majority of individuals manage to modify their aggressive behavior and reinsert themselves into society.

La violencia de género es una problemática que está muy presente en la actualidad, existen leyes específicas como la Ley Orgánica 1/2004, de Medidas de Protección Integral contra la Violencia de Género1, que protegen los derechos y la integridad de las mujeres afectadas, pero también existen otros recursos para poder protegerlas. Estos recursos son los programas de intervención con agresores, que a su vez son el tema principal por el que se desarrolla este estudio. El objetivo es analizar dichos tratamientos, concretamente el programa PRIA, con la intención de evidenciar su eficacia y de esclarecer si cumplen la función de reeducar y reinsertar al sujeto que comete malos tratos hacia su pareja. Para ello ha sido necesario acudir a los índices de reincidencia, los cuales se obtienen una vez los hombres finalizan el tratamiento, y es entonces cuando se evalúa su comportamiento antes del inicio del mismo y después de su finalización. Los resultados obtenidos han sido muy positivos, pues el porcentaje de reincidencia es bastante bajo en comparación al de la reeducación. Se puede afirmar que la gran mayoría de los individuos consiguen modificar su conducta agresiva y reinsertarse en la sociedad.
