La Guerra de la Convención a través de los documentos (1790-1793)

Abstract

El final del siglo XVIII fue una época muy conflictiva para Europa. España se enfrentó a Francia en la Guerra de la Convención durante los años 1793-1795, convirtiéndose en otro frente para los franceses que estaban inmersos en luchas contra la Primera Coalición. Primeras victorias para el lado español en el primer año, después pasaría a llevar la delantera los franceses en el segundo año, para finalmente llegar al Tratado de Basilea en 1795. Este trabajo busca en los años previos (1790-1793), y a través de documentación histórica original del Archivo Nacional de Pierrefitte, comprobar la situación en Francia y que ayude a comprender los movimientos futuros. Al mismo tiempo, siguiendo el momento en el que se encontraba la España de finales de siglo a través de la bibliografía, y observando ciertas similitudes.

The end of 18th century was a conflict period for Europe. Spain and France fought each other in the War of the Convention (1793-1795), becoming another front for the french who were immersed in struggles against the First Coalition. The first year was for Spain side, meanwhile the second year was for France side. The Treaty of Basel in 1795 ended the war between the two countries. This work seeks in the three previous year (1790-1793), and through historical documentation of the National Archive of Pierrefitte, check the situation in France and help to understand future movements in the war. At the same time following Spain activity in the end of the century, through the bibliography and observing certain similarities.
