Over last years, humans have been becoming more concerned about aspects related to
the environment, social issues and social responsibility. For this reason, investors decide
to look for alternatives to conventional investment funds in order to be able to combine
financial criteria and extra-financial criteria in the same product. Socially responsible
investment funds offer investors this possibility, which is being exploited by European
countries, especially France, Belgium and Holland, countries that show a greater interest
in this variant of funds.
In this study, the different socially responsible funds existing in Spain as of 31/12/2017
will be analysed, with a descriptive analysis of their pre-selection criteria by sector, by
valuation or exclusion criteria and by the category of each asset. At the same time, an
analysis of the current situation in Europe with regard to SRI funds will be carried out. [-]
