| ca_CA |
dc.description.abstract | This study begins with a search on the role of women in advertising over the years, defining clearly 3 stages in its evolution: in the first scenario women are totally dependent on her husband, fulfilling the stereotypes of those times - be passive, unable... - but yet, she was treated with respect. Then, it keeps going until the objectification of women for male consumption. This information serves to, later, understand that the objectification of women in the Skol beer ads is not a unique thing of that mark. For better analysis, I use the method of María del Carmen Agustín Lacruz, focusing on three points of the graphs that I use as a sample in order to identify the problem of positioning that faced Skol three years ago. The theme of the research goes around the fact that, in recent years, the Skol beer brand has shown a change. This was reflected not only in their communication, as in all it’s positioning arguments, which they maintained since the 1990’s -identifiable by its sexist humor in the analysis of campaigns Invenção, o Viva Redondo-. This rebranding begins to makes itself note in 2017, specifically in the women's Day March, when the mark invites several women illustrators to redo the graphics of previous campaigns. We see their desire to assert that his past is not who they are currently: they want their public to know that not only they have changed, but also evolved. In its current branding, the brand cached up with cultural diversity, leaving behind the era where the objectification of women as claim was widely used in their campaigns. | ca_CA |
