Nuevos modelos de educación artística: el método MUPAI en el aula de Infantil

Abstract

La educación artística en la etapa de infantil tiene como finalidad el desarrollo físico, social, afectivo e intelectual de las niñas y de los niños. Tradicionalmente el área de Plástica en la aulas de infantil se ha enfocado desde el trabajo manual o decorativo, sin atender al hecho de que la actividad artística puede, y debe ser, transversal, conectada con el conocimiento y sobre todo, cuestionar de la realidad que nos rodea. El presente trabajo pretende mostrar un nuevo modelo de educación artística como alternativa a las propuestas tradicionales. El modelo artístico trabajado es el método del Museo Pedagógico de Arte Infantil (en adelante MUPAI), cuya finalidad no es realizar únicamente manualidades, sino crear un conocimiento y hacer reflexionar para comprender la sociedad que nos rodea. A finales del siglo XX, el Museo Pedagógico de Arte Infantil empezó siendo, como bien indica su nombre, un museo dedicado al arte infantil, pero progresivamente ha evolucionado para terminar finalmente siendo un método educativo. Tras investigar en qué pilares se sustentan los talleres del método MUPAI, hemos considerado importante desarrollar una pequeña programación, con el objetivo de concienciar al alumnado del último curso del segundo ciclo de Educación Infantil de la realidad que les rodea basándonos en una propuesta relacionada con el arte contemporáneo, siendo ellos los principales protagonistas del proceso de aprendizaje.

Artistic education in the childhood stage aims at the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of girls and boys. This area traditionally, in Preescholar classrooms, has focused on manual or decorative work, without taking into account the fact that artistic activity can, and should be, transversal, connected with knowledge and above all, questioning the reality that around us. This work aims to show a new model of artistic education as an alternative to traditional proposals. The artistic model worked is the method of the Pedagogical Museum of Children's Art (hereinafter MUPAI), whose purpose is not to perform only handicrafts, but to create knowledge and make people reflect to understand the society that surrounds us. At the end of the 20th century, the Pedagogical Museum of Children's Art began, as its name indicates, a museum dedicated to children's art, but progressively it has evolved to end up being an educational method. After researching in which pillars the MUPAI method workshops was sustended, we considered important to develop a small program, with the aim of raising awareness among the students of the last year of the second cycle of Early Childhood Education of the reality surrounding them based on a proposal related to the contemporary art, being them the main protagonists of the learning process
