dc.description.abstract | Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) could be defined as a psychological disorder in which there is a worry that is not associated only with a specific stimulus. GAD, like the rest of anxiety disorders, has been treated with cognitive - behavioural therapies (CBT). However, several studies show that the se treatments do not achieve optimal functioning for a large part of the treated population. It is for this reason that they are looking for new ways to treat this disorder and mindfulness could be a good option. This work consists of a systematic review t o find out which mindfulness protocols are being used for the treatment of GAD, as well as to see the efficacy and characteristics of all of them. The results of the studies found show encouraging results on the effectiveness of this treatment, since it re duces the level of anxiety and worry of patients, improves the quality of life and is seen as a pleasant treatment by patients. | ca_CA |

| ca_CA |
