Rechazo de la vacuna del virus del papiloma humano. Influencia de la información por el sistema sanitario.

Abstract

Objectives: based on the studies carried out, it has been demon strated that the vaccine against the human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most effective way to fight against cancer of the cervix. However, since vaccination was implemented in our national health system, this vaccine is at lower rates than expected. This re port analyzes whether the information received by the health system (both health personnel and information methods) has influenced the decision to vaccinate against the Human Papilloma Virus. Method: to collect the information, it has contacted by telephon e with the parents or adolescents of legal age born between 1994 and 2004 assigned to the Health Center of Illes Columbretes. Subsequently, it performed an observational case - control study, the cases being those vaccinated against HPV and the controls thos e not. The type of information received, and its influence will be evaluated. Outcome: this report has analyzed the influence of the information received by the health system personnel and the methods used in vaccinated and unvaccinated. As results we have obtained a value of p <0.05 doing the Chi - cuadrado test, so there is a statistically significant relationship in both studies. Conclusion: The information transmitted by the health system has influenced families when making the decision to vaccinate their daughters against HPV in a manner favorable to vaccination. To obtain results that can be inferred in the population, an increase in the sample size will be needed.

Objetivos: a raíz de los estudios realizados se ha demostrado que la vacuna frente al virus del Papiloma Humano (VPH) es la forma más eficaz de luchar contra el cáncer de cérvix. Sin embargo desde que se implantó la vacunación en nu estro sistema nacional de salud, esta vacuna se encuentra en tasas inferiores a las esperadas. En este trabajo analizaremos si la información recibida por el sistema sanitario (tanto personal sanitario como métodos de información) han influido en la toma d e decisión de vacunarse o no contra el Virus del Papiloma Humano. Método: para recopilar la información se ha contactado por vía telefónica con los padres o las adolescentes mayores de edad nacidas entre 1994 y 2004 adscritas al Centro de Salud de Illes Co lumbretes. Posteriormente hemos realizado un estudio observacional casos - controles constituyendo los casos las vacunadas frente al VPH y los controles los que no. Se evaluará el tipo de información recibida y su influencia. Resultado: Hemos analizado la in fluencia de la información recibida por parte del personal del sistema sanitario y los métodos utilizados en vacunadas y no vacunadas. Como resultados hemos obtenido un valor de p<0,05 mediante el Chi - cuadrado por lo que hay relación estadísticamente sign ificativa en ambos estudios . Conclusión: La información transmitida por el sistema sanitario ha influido a las familias a la hora de tomar la decisión de vacunar a sus hijas frente al VPH de manera que favorable a la vacunación . Para obtener resultados que se puedan inferir en la población se necesitara un aumento del tamaño muestral.
