The main idea of the research line that is being studying in the group is
focused on the design and synthesis of dual inhibitors of both biological targets
explained in the introduction: c-Myc and PD-L1. According to the preliminary
results, it has been discovered general structures based on arylamides and
triazoles that may be able to inhibit in a high level the expression of c-Myc. At
the same time, docking studies have revealed that these kinds of structures
could interact with PD-L1 hydrophobic groove, leading its inhibition.
The aim of this final grade work was centred in the synthesis and biological
evaluation of several arylamide and triazole derivatives that could show
immunomodulatory action. Therefore, objectives can be enumerated as:
I. Synthesis of some arylamide and triazole derivatives whose general
structures are shown in Figure 7.
II. Biological evaluation of the mentioned compounds in order to determine:
i) Their antiproliferative activity.
ii) Their capacity to inhibit c-Myc and PD-L1 proteins.
iii) Their antiproliferative activity in cell co-cultures. [-]
