In this study we analyze some beliefs of 201 young university students from two different career (humanities and sciences) with respect to gender relations with family and work . The study is carried out in two ways : explicit questions to the subjects and the (IAT) implicit associations test . This analysis leads us to identify these stereotypes through a classification of words from both categories that are presented as paired . The aim of the study is to show these associations and evaluate information about the implicit and explicit thoughts and beliefs that show the degree to which one concept is associated with another . The results of the study showed that less the reaction time, the higher the strength of association between the matched categories . The results of the study showed that the shorter reaction time, the higher the strength of association between the matched categories . The means of the scores were similar and there weren’t differences between male and female and their careers . There isn’t significant effect of studies or interaction, but there is a gender effect that explains 3 . 5 % of the variance in the scores . The study was concluded with a tendency to the female gender as the most capable of caring for other people and an association to the male gender as more predisposed to put the professional career before their personal and family lifeca_CA
