| dc.description.abstract | The main objective of this work is to carry out the synthesis of pseudopeptidic
imidazolium salts and to analyse some of their properties.
Specific Objectives
• To develop an efficient synthetic approach for the preparation of a family
pseudopeptidic imidazolium salts derived from L-Valine.
• To carry out a full physico-chemical characterization of the family of
pseudopeptidic imidazolium salts prepared.
• To study the aggregation behaviour of these imidazolium salts in solution and in
the solid state.
• To study the influence on some catalytic reactions of the presence of these
imidazolium salts.
• To learn advanced synthetic, separation and characterization techniques in the
