Infidelidad como mecanismo de perturbación en la relación de pareja

Abstract

The present investigation is orientated to study if there are differences between men and women regarding the type of infidelity that produces more reactivity. We also wanted to see if infidelity and fidelity are characteristics taken into account when formalizing a couple and what emotional differences each type of infidelity produces. A total of 97 people, 68% women and 32% men, aged between 18-25 years have participated by responding a questionnaire about infidelity and certain aspects of the relationships. The results show that there are significant differences between men and women in terms of infidelity causing them more discomfort. Regarding emotions, significant differences were also observed in some emotions, and on the other hand, both fidelity and infidelity are the characteristics most valued by men and women when it comes to formalizing a couple.
