La educación para la muerte: un desafío pedagógico. Revisión bibliográfica de los aspectos necesarios en una intervención de Educación para la Muerte en Educación Infantil

Abstract

La Educación para la Muerte es un ámbito educativo cuyo propósito es normalizar y concienciar sobre la muerte, aporta beneficios y favorece el desarrollo integral de las personas. Es necesario intervenir en esta temática desde el ámbito educativo, integrada desde Educación Infantil y proyectada hacia etapas posteriores. El objetivo de este trabajo se centra en identificar los aspectos necesarios en una intervención de Educación para la Muerte en Educación Infantil. Con este propósito se ha llevado a cabo una revisión bibliográfica sistematizada de 21 documentos, de la que ha resultado una serie de categorías y subcategorías que reflejan los aspectos necesarios en una intervención de Educación para la Muerte en Educación Infantil. Se puede intervenir de forma preventiva y paliativa, siendo necesaria la participación y colaboración escuela-familia, los cuales deben estar adecuadamente formados y disponer de ciertas actitudes para con los menores. Las intervenciones se pueden desarrollar a través de diferentes metodologías, adaptándose al alumnado. Es responsabilidad de los profesionales de la educación poner en marcha este tipo de propuestas, apostando por un progreso educativo. De ahí la importancia de dotarles de unas bases y herramientas para hacer frente a este cometido.

Death Education is one of the parts belonging to the learning environment whose main purpose is to normalize and raise awareness about the topic of death, as well as bringing back benefits and favor a complete self-development in human beings. For these reasons, it is necessary to intervene with this issue within the education environment, integrating it within infant education and projecting it onto subsequent periods. The main aim of this project is to identify the necessary aspects that would be necessary in an intervention of Death Education in Preschool. For that, the first step has been to carry out a systematized literature review of 21 documents, of which I have sorted out different categories and subcategories that reflect upon the most essential aspects for an intervention of Death Education in Preschool. After that, it can be said that intervention can take both a preventive and a palliative form, and that participation and collaboration between the school and the family is quintessential. Surely, both of them need to be adequately trained and get certain concrete attitudes as far as children are concerned. Interventions can be developed through different methodologies, adapting them as it best suits the student body. It is thus, education professionals’ responsibility to put into practice this kind of suggestions, wagering for a progress in the educational sphere. That is the reason why it is necessary to give them some basics and resources to achieve the aim.
