The following project develops two models of overnight stays demand: one devoted to
hotel and the other addressed to camping. One of the results has been price elasticity and
rent elasticity. The vast majority of tourists are from Germany and United Kingdom.
Therefore, these are the countries that our project is based on. This project explores the
17 Spanish autonomous communities. Thus, it has been really significant to examine if the
tourists have visited an island, the coast, or the inner peninsula. From a set of panel data
some questions are analysed in the project. These questions are: whether the demand is
elastic or inelastic and whether the tourists regard tourism as an inferior, normal or luxury
good. Eventually, as Brexit is a current relevant topic and, taking into consideration the
already-given consequences, this project attempts to explore the possible implications of
the English tourism demand to Spain. [-]
