Motivación e implicación de los alumnos de secundaria en el aprendizaje

Abstract

En el presente estudio hemos planteado dos hipótesis: 1) Ver si existe relación entre las variables contextuales y la intención de aprender (expectativas) y 2) analizar el perfil motivacional de los alumnos de 1º y 2º ESO A del instituto Jaume I. La muestra utilizada para este estudio es de 34 sujetos, de 1º y 2º ESO A del instituto Jaume I de Burriana (Castellón), los sujetos tienen edades comprendidas entre 12 y 15 años, todos ellos alumnos de matemáticas y ambos grupos tenían en común a la misma profesora, todos ellos colaboraron de forma anónima y voluntaria. Los instrumentos que se utilizaron para recoger la información fueron dos cuestionarios que fueron cumplimentados durante el primer trimestre lectivo por los alumnos, y un cuestionario que fue rellenada al final de curso por la profesora. Toda las información fue trasladada al programa estadístico SPSS y a través de este programa estadístico realizamos los cálculos estadísticos descriptivos de media, desviación estándar y alpha de Cronbach, seguidamente calculamos las correlaciones bivariadas para contrastar las hipótesis y todo esto lo podemos ver resumido a través de diagramas de barras y gráficos. En cuanto a los resultados obtenidos, Ver si existe relación entre las variables contextuales y la intención de aprender (expectativas), podemos asegurar que hay una relación significativa entre ambas variables y en el segundo objetivo, analizar el perfil motivacional de los alumnos de 1º y 2º ESO A del instituto Jaume I, vemos que los resultados reflejados en la gráfica muestran unos resultados elevados de motivación por parte de los alumnos. Las implicaciones educativas para la educación que intenta reflejar este estudio, es que debemos fomentar la motivación en el alumno y que si somos capaces de conseguirlo podemos conseguir que mejoren sus resultados. A través de este estudio queremos hacer una aportación, al servicio del docente, para ofrecerle herramientas de mejora para el futuro.

In the present study we have hypothesized: 1) To see if there is a relation between the contextual variables and the intention to learning (expectations) and 2) to analyze the motivational profile of the 1st and 2nd ESO students ,Jaume I High School and finally give different improvement suggestions. The sample used for this study is 34 students, 1st and 2nd ESO Jaume I High School Burriana (Castellón), They were beetween 12 and 15 years old, all of them maths pupils who shared the same teacher ,They collaborated of anonymous and voluntary form. The instruments that were in used for gather the information were two questionnaires that were completed during the first school quarter by the pupils, a questionnaire destined to evaluate the contextual variables of the educational situation and another questionnaire to evaluate the intention of learning (expectations / expectations of learning), and finally, a questionnaire that was refilled at the end of course by the teacher, with the intention of knowing the learning strategies on the part of the pupils. All the información was moved to the statistical program SPSS, through, this statistical program, we carried out the statistical descriptive calculations of average, standard deviation and alpha de Cronbach, immediately afterwards, we calculated the bivariate correlations to confirm the hypotheses and we can see it summarized across bar charts and graphs. As for the obtained results to see if relation exists between the contextual variables and the intention of learning (expectations), we can assure that there is a significant relation between both variables and in the second aim, to analyze the motivacional profile of the pupils of 1st and 2nd ESO . We can see that the results reflected in the graph show high results of motivation on the part of the pupils. The educational implications for the education that tries to reflect this study is that we must promote the motivation in the pupil and that if we are capable of obtaining it, we can achieve that they improve their results. Across this study, we want to do a contribution to the service of the teacher, to offer him tools of improvement for the future.
