Tratamiento Informativo del Periodismo Cinematográfico en Prensa Nacional: el Festival Internacional de Cine de San Sebastián (1953-2016)

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se hace un análisis sobre el tratamiento informativo que realizan dos de los principales periódicos de tirada nacional sobre el Festival Internacional de Cine de San Sebastián. Se trata de un análisis de contenidos de las cabeceras La Vanguardia y ABC entre los años 1953 y 2016 para investigar la evolución que se produce en el periodismo especializado nacional, concretamente en materia cinematográfica. Se ha realizado un análisis de contenido de tipo cuantitativo con un total de 32 ejemplares estudiados de ambas publicaciones y alrededor de 38 noticias sobre la muestra cinematográfica. Aunque el periodismo especializado es un aspecto del campo de la comunicación ampliamente estudiado, no así el ámbito del cine, sobre el que hay pocos estudios al respecto. Por este motivo, éste resulta un trabajo novedoso y que espera aportar nuevos conocimientos a esta área.

In the present work an analysis is made on the information treatment carried out by two of the main newspapers of national circulation about “the San Sebastian International Film Festival”. It is a content analysis of La Vanguardia and ABC, two of the main newspapers in Spain, between the ages of 1953 and 2016 in order to investigate the evolution that takes place in the national specialized journalism, and more specifically in cinematographic area. A quantitative content analysis was carried out with a total of 32 specimens studied from both publications and approximately 38 news reports on the cinematographic exhibition. Although specialized journalism is an aspect of the field of communication widely studied, not so the area of cinema, about which there are only few studies on the subject. For this reason, this is an innovative work that hopes to contribute with new knowledge to this area.
