| ca_CA |
dc.description.abstract | The technological development and cultural and economic globalization have resulted in the need for countries, regions and cities to activate territorial policies of differentiation to position themselves competitively in the market. In this context, territories develop communication strategies -based on the commercial brand- to build a powerful and differentiable image that allows them to, basically and transversally, capture tourism and investments and achieve a favorable political position in their public relations with other territories. The construction and strategic implementation of a territorial brand involve the activation of the tangible attributes and the intangible values of the territory with the objective of creating a discourse with the capacity to motivate and retain a heterogeneous public with multiple needs and demands. A dialogue with target audiences goes beyond a promotional campaign and the exaltation of existing territorial topics. A brand-public relationship that becomes especially complex with the residents - civil society, companies and public administrations - due to the double role they exercise, first, by the capacity to assume as its own the territorial discourse of the brand and, secondly, as guarantors, activators and diffusers of the brand towards the foreign market. The inclusive and sustainable behavior of the brand depends, to a large extent, its discursive strategy with the internal publics, for it, it becomes necessary to think the brand strategy putting in value the social reality of the territory from the deepest social structures: Collective imaginaries. Real, rational and symbolic productions, both individual and collective, that are shaped and evolved throughout history and come to shape the social reality of a territory and therefore a fundamental part of the identity of a society. The value of the social identity of a territory has in the Place branding a vertebral and strategic role; the coherence of brand speech. The alignment between the brand message and the reality of the territory and must fulfill two fundamental objectives: the projected identity -referred to social, cultural and environmental values- and the identity perceived by external audiences. | ca_CA |
