El Orientalismo a través de la literatura y la pintura del siglo XIX

Abstract

El siglo XIX presentó una nueva corriente artística que abogaba por la libertad de las pasiones tanto de escritores como pintores y por un público que ansiaba acabar con las férreas normas de la Ilustración. Estos nuevos aires llegaron con el Romanticismo, y dentro del mismo, numerosos artistas encontraron la forma de plasmar su pasión interior a través del Orientalismo. El presente trabajo pretenderá analizar la moda oriental a través de la visión más artística del Orientalismo, sus artífices y las obras más representativas con el objetivo de mostrar la importancia del mismo dentro del movimiento romántico.

The XIXth century presented a new artistic current that was advocating the freedom of the passions so much of writers like painters and for a public who was longing to finish with the iron norms of the Enlightenment. These new airs came with romanticism, and within it, many artists found the way to express your inner passion throughout the Orientalism. This study will seek to analyze the Eastern fashion through the artistic vision of Orientalism, its authors and the most representative works in order to show the importance of it within the Romantic movement.
