The environement in the eurostoxx50 listed companies: Empirical study on the relationship between Co2 production and the corporate risk.

Abstract

In the present socio-economic context, customers and consumers increasingly value the environmental variables and ecology for decision making, so these become a crucial factor for companies. The aim of this project is to research, through an empirical analysis, a possible link between the variations of CO2 productions and the relation of the variations in productions of CO2 and the corporate risk in major European firms. To this end, I have analysed forty-seven companies within the EuroStox50 from 2014 to 2015. The large number of researches shows how relevant this topic is. However, there is hardly literature analysing the environment with the corporate risk. When analysing the model, we make special emphasis on the variations in productions of CO2 and the financial companies, stressing that they are not meaningful in the analysis of the corporate risk. Finally, a brief conclusion closes the work with the results obtained and the references.
