Estudio del ciclo vital a partir de Historias de Vida

Abstract

El objetivo principal del presente trabajo se dirige a examinar algunas características propias del desarrollo psicológico que se produce a lo largo de la vida, centrándonos en la edad adulta. Este análisis se desarrolla a través del marco teórico que nos proporcionan autores como Erikson, Havighurst y Baltes, importantes autores de la psicología del Ciclo vital, los mismos que nos han permitido comparar los sujetos entre sí. Para desarrollar este estudio se elaboró una entrevista semiestructurada que se administró a los sujetos, lo que nos facilitó la información necesaria para construir las historias de vida analizadas desde un punto de vista cualitativo. En el estudio participaron 2 sujetos, un hombre y una mujer de 87 y 90 años respectivamente que mostraron situarse en los polos opuestos de Integridad del yo frente a Desesperación pertenecientes a las etapas de Erikson. Este resultado determina que la mujer hizo un balance positivo de su trayectoria vital y esta satisfecha, mientras que el hombre realiza un balance negativo, sintiéndose más abatido.

The main objective of the present work is directed to examine some characteristics of the psychological development that takes place throughout the life, focusing on the adult age. This analysis is developed through the theoretical framework provided by authors such as Erikson, Havighurst and Baltes, important authors of the life cycle psychology, which have allowed us to compare the subjects to each other. To develop this study, a semi-structured interview was developed and administered to the subjects, which provided us with the necessary information to construct the life histories analyzed from a qualitative point of view. The study involved 2 subjects, a man and a woman of 87 and 90 respectively, who showed that they were located in the opposite poles of Integrity of the self against Despair belonging to the stages of Erikson. This result determines that the woman made a positive balance of her life trajectory and is satisfied, while the man realizes a negative balance, feeling more dejected.
