Una aproximación al estudio de los motivos de amistad en niños de 9 y 10 años

Abstract

La amistad puede definirse como una relación recíproca y voluntaria entre niños, con quien se comparte intercambios de intimidades y afectos positivos. Muchos autores, desde la antigua Grecia hasta el presente, han intentado definir sus características, cualidades y funciones. A pesar de haber sido estudiada durante tanto tiempo, aún siguen existiendo aspectos por descubrir. Uno de los aspectos que quedan por indagar son los motivos por los que los niños y niñas crean y mantienen relaciones de amistad. Los estudios sobre amistad hasta el momento no estudian este aspecto de las relaciones haciendo que sean los mismos niños quienes informen de ello, pero encontramos otro estudio similar acerca de los motivos de rechazo y aceptación en niños. El objetivo será conocer los motivos de amistad expresados por los niños. Para ello, se usará el Cuestionario de nominaciones de amistad, pasado a los niños y niñas de 4º de Educación Primaria de 4 colegios diferentes de la Provincia de Castellón (n=228). Éste permitirá obtener las razones que dan los menores para crear y mantener relaciones de amistad con sus compañeros de colegio. Con la técnica de comparación constante, se realizará un estudio cualitativo de los motivos y se crearan categorías, definiéndolas para ser usadas en posibles futuras investigaciones. Las categorías encontradas son: Amabilidad, Diversión, Peculiaridad Positiva, Compartir, Buena convivencia y Apoyo Emocional. Friendship could be defined as the reciprocal and voluntary relation between kids with a similar age, with whom they share intimacies and positive affects. A lot of authors, from ancient times to the present, have tried to define the characteristics, qualities and functions of friendship. Despite of having been studied for so long, there are some details which remain undiscovered. One of these unkown details are the reasons why children start and keep relations of friendship. The studies about friendship done until now do not study this aspect of the friendship, but we find just another similar study about the reasons for acceptance and rejection of kids. The specific objectives are creating categories and finding the frequency they repeat with. For that, the Questionnaire of nominations of friendship is used. It is answered by boy and girls in 4th grade of the Elementary School of four schools from the Provincia de Castellón (n=228). With this questionnaire we will obtain the reasons that the kids give to create and maintain their relations of friendship with their schoolmates. Using the method of the continuous comparison, a qualitative study of the reasons will be done and categories will be created.
