dc.description.abstract | This paper discusses various approaches related to the term Special Educational Needs (SEN) in relation to hospital admissions. SEN in hospitals could be considered a new field of special needs that are essential for those sick students who cannot attend to their schools due to a disease or even for a long-term treatment. Consequently, this research demonstrates by documentary evidence such as laws founded in the Spanish education system Ley Orgánica de Educación/Spanish Organic Law (LOE) and Ley Orgánica para la Mejora de la Calidad Educativa/Organic Law on the Improvement of the Quality of Education (LOMCE), as well as in Instructions published annually by the Community of Valencia, that the creation of schools in hospitals should be necessary to provide a dignified education to those students. Therefore, the present paper is based on the analysis of the Unidad Pedagógica Hospitalaria (UPH) which is the school that provides SEN for their sick patients who are up to the age of compulsory schooling. Schools have an important role, thus teacher must be aware of that and provide them effectively support as their pedagogical implication will determine a correct learning. Hence, taking into account the importance of teaching the aim of this project is to teach English through Information and Communication Technologies’ tools in order to improve their knowledge. | ca_CA |
