Formulation of a strategic human resource management plan based on competencies

Abstract

In this project I will focus on the field of human resources within a corporation and we will see how important it is in entities, both public and private. Specifically, we will develop a human resources plan based on skills; in particular the objective of this work is going to be desing the skills of a particular job profile, the skills which are the basis of my project. I will talk about the generic skills that every employee must have in the organisation, those which define the ‘modus operandi’ of the corporation and, subsequently, I will focus on the specific skills which each employee must have so as to carry out his/her tasks efficiently within the organisation, the qualities which define and distinguish him/her from other employees. In order to analyse the subject more practically, I will develop skills profile of a real corporation to show a more realistic vision on the subject. I will choose the corporation Marina D’Or. I thought convenient to choose this company since its main activity is the tourism, the tourism sector is very important in our country, and it is a very important sector for the region of Valencia. The tourism sector at the national level obtained some splendid results by 2015 was the sector that grew up in the Spanish economy and most was that more employment generated. Tourism GDP registered an advance of 3.7%, reaching peak levels registered in the last 15 years, according to the balance of the year by Exceltur. At the end of the exercise by 2015, contributed half point to the growth of the GDP Spanish, until record one hundred twenty-four thousand million of euros. Another reason why I choose this company how the subject of study is because companies and services stand out due to the importance of human resources and as I have worked in Marina d ' Or more than seven years, I think that should improve much this aspect.
