dc.description.abstractVicinal diamines are versatile building blocks in organic chemistry. This moiety is present in many Natural compounds that have biological activity. For these reasons, they have been used in synthesis, catalysis and medicinal chemistry. Despite their large applicability and many reported syntheses, there is not a simple method to obtain it. In this work, a new available synthetic methodology for the synthesis of 1,2-diamines from commercial aldehydes is reported. This procedure allows the obtaining of aryl and alkyl diamines, and also 1,4-diamino heterocyclic compounds as piperazines and quinoxalines.ca_CA
