Los periodistas han normalizado el uso de Twitter para promocio-
nar contenidos, buscar información y localizar fuentes. Los usuarios
también comentan la actualidad y publican fotografías y vídeos sobre
noticias. Para evaluar si estas imágenes resultan útiles en la cobertura pe-
riodística, mediante el análisis de contenido se aborda el caso de #Arde-
Valencia,
hashtag
sobre los devastadores incendios forestales ocurridos
en Valencia (España) en 2012. Al respecto, se concluye que las imágenes
se publican sin contexto suficiente y repiten contenidos ya difundidos
por los medios tradicionales. También se utilizan para crear estados de
opinión, en consonancia con el concepto de periodismo ambiental. [-]

cia, hashtag linked to the devastating forest fires in Valencia (Spain) in
2012. Findings show that images are spreaded without enough context
and repeat contents previously broadcasted on traditional media. Pictures and multimedia are also used to create states of opinion, according
to the concept of ambiental journalism. [-]
