Esparta, modelo y mito: características e influencia de una polis exclusiva : Esparta, agogé, mirage, influencia, nazismo

Abstract

Esparta revolucionó Grecia desde la época Arcaica por su concepción social, económica y política de la realidad, influyendo a gobernantes y filósofos de dicho periodo. No obstante, y pese a que, a priori, parezca haber sido eclipsada por Atenas, la polis lacedemonia ha llevado su modelo más allá de la Edad Contemporánea; convirtiendo su estricta díatia, la dura agogé, su esquema político o la característica división social en modelo a seguir y mito sobre el que especular. A lo largo del presente estudio, desarrollaré los factores definitorios del estado espartano, comenzando por su origen y lo relativo al legislador Licurgo, para tratar todo lo relativo a magistraturas, instituciones, sociedad, etc. En la segunda parte del mismo, abordaré algunas de las corrientes que han bebido del modelo lacedemonio, estableciendo claras similitudes e influencias, manteniendo un punto de vista crítico.

Sparta revolutionized Greece since the Archaic era because of its social, economic and political conception of reality, influencing governors and philosophers of this period. However, and regardless of the fact that, a priori, seems to have been overshadowed by Athens, the Lacedaemonian polis has taken its model beyond the contemporary age; turning their strict diatia, the hard agoge, its political scheme or the characteristic social division into a model to follow and myth on which speculate. Throughout this study, I will develop the defining factors of the Spartan State, starting with its origin and what concerns to the lawgiver Lycurgus, to treat all matters relating to magistratures, institutions, society, etc. In the second part of the same, I will address some of the thoughts that have drunk of Lacedaemonian model, establishing clear similarities and influences, always from a critical perspective.
