The dynamics of Tetranychus urticae and its predators have been studied in four different orchards where three ground management systems have been assayed: (a) wild cover, (b) sown cover of Poaceae and (c) bare soil. The sown cover resulted in the lowest populations of T. urticae on the trees. Mechanisms explaining these results could be related both to host-feeding specialization and composition of the associated beneficial acarofauna [-]
