Apps is a project that consists in the start up of a remote sensing services company to manage irrigation water. The company will take care of communicating to customers the amount of water which must irrigate their crops, allowing them to save up to 50% of irrigation water annually. This amount will be able to know, through remote sensing techniques, using a method that has previously been successfully validated by three professors from the University of Valencia. The project arose from a postgraduate course I have done, "Industrial and Environmental Applications in Distance Measurement Temperature" combined with the business opportunity derived from winning the "MOTIVEM 2015" competition organized by the Foundation University- Business of the University of Valencia. Currently this project is mentored by successful entrepreneurs of Valencia, in a course I'm participating in the same Foundation. The project promoters are Diego C. Caselles Marti and Ana G. Iglesias Cappuccio, with the support of Vicente Caselles, professor of the University of Valencia, and one of the authors of the method that the Company will apply. ThermoApps competitive advantage over the competition focuses on a water saving irrigation higher compared to other techniques, lower prices and a specialized customer treatment. In Spain, where droughts are becoming more frequent, we face vital factors of water scarcity, such as climate change, water pollution, wasteful irrigation systems, or individual overconsumption, among others. The water saving irrigation, that will suppose apply ThermoApps's method instead of the current method would be: 12.500 million m3 / year. More than half of water consumption in Spain, for crop irrigation. Therefore, ThermoApps has a sustainable business idea, for their contribution to the balanced and responsible use of natural resources, and of the successful combination of efficiency and effectiveness that will allow mitigating the effects of climate change. In addition, ThermoApps can also get the title of a socially responsible company.ca_CA
