This paper deals with the answer of the agriculture in the region of Murcia lo the traditional agriculture crisis. In this period agriculture acted as a sector that contributed with very relevant elements for the development process and at the same time changes were experimented in order to satisfy the new functions demanded by the development process. AII these factors moved farmers to carry out very important efforts to adapt themselves to the new situation, These efforts gave pass to a compromise between tradition and innovation which after some frictions allowed the shifts in agriculture structures, in economically active population of the sector, in the use of land, and in the process of impulse of the new ways of production together with the definite crisis of traditional agriculture society.
