Demografía de Figueroles D'Alcalatén, 1871-2010. Un despoblament estabilitzat per la industria cerámica.

Abstract

Figueroles d’Alcalatén és un municipi situat en la comarca de l’Alcalatén, Castelló. El present estudi demogràfic comença l’any 1871, per ser aquest l’any d’incoació del registre civil de la localitat. L’objectiu és el de fer un estudi demogràfic global des d’aleshores fins l’actualitat. És important localitzar cronològicament els moments de canvi i analitzar tots els factors que han pogut repercutir directament o indirectament sobre la població. La creació de les primeres indústries ceràmiques és el punt clau d’aquesta investigació, ja que, com veurem, suposà una revolució en tots els aspectes. A pesar de ser un estudi local, molts elements són exportables a qualsevol poble de l’interior de Castelló, altres són genuïns.

Figueroles d’Alcalatén is a municipality located in the region of l’Alcalatén, Castelló. This demographic study begins in 1871, as this year starts the civil registry of the town, and the goal is to make a comprehensive demographic study since then until now. It is important to locate chronologically the moments of change and to analyze all the factors that can have had an impact directly or indirectly on population. The arrival of the first ceramics industries is highlighted as a key point of this research because, as we will see, it caused a revolution in all ways. In spite of being a local research, a lot of factors are exportable to any inland village of Castellón whilst others are completely genuine.
