| ca_CA |
dc.description.abstract | The universe created by David Lynch is practically boundless, nevertheless,
with every product that realizes incorporates new expressive and formal
strategies that we can detach and analyze to understand every time better like
his mind and creativity develops. First of all we have started from the beginning,
for it’s first two full-length films, which are the only filmed in black and white and
in which there is a ‘monstrous’ character. The point that interests us is the
contrast between his physical characterization and narrative treatment
completely opposite in both cases. We propose therefore an investigation
centred on the differences and similarities of narrative and of staging between
the monstrous characters in his films, Eraserhead and The Elephant Man. | ca_CA |
