Historias de vida

Abstract

El objetivo principal de este trabajo fue estudiar algunas de las características propias del desarrollo psicológico en la edad adulta según el marco teórico de autores como Erikson, Havighurst y Baltes pertenecientes a la psicología del Ciclo vital; y a su vez analizar las semejanzas y las diferencias que pudiesen existir entre los participantes. Para ello se desarrolló una entrevista semiestructurada que ayudara a encauzar el relato de las historias de vida de los sujetos y se analizaron los datos. En el estudio participaron 2 mujeres de 84 años de edad y los resultados mostraron que ambas participantes estaban situadas en los polos de Generatividad e Integridad del yo pertenecientes a las etapas de Erikson. Todo ello indica que hicieron un balance positivo de su trayectoria vital y están satisfechas, por lo que contemplan la vida como un todo significativo.

The main purpose of this work was the studying of some characteristics proper to the psychological development at a mature age, according to the theoretical framework proposed by Erikson, Havighurst and Baltes, from the Life Cycle psychology; and at the same time the studying of the similarities and differences that could exist between the participants. A semi structured interview was developed for those purposes, which would channel the subjects´ life stories, and the results where then analyzed. In the study participated two 84 year old women and the results showed that both participants were placed at the Generativity and Integrity poles of the ego from Erikson´s stages. This indicates that they made a positive balance of their life´s trajectory and are pleased with it, by which they contemplate life like a meaningful whole
