| ca_CA |
dc.description.abstract | This research explores the obstruction of visuality as an aesthetic gesture that we have observed repeatedly in new media art, which often uses emerging media technologies to make quiet visual zones flourish. The study is based on the following hypothesis: new media art allocates the aesthetic possibilities of digital registration and creation to call on something related to emptiness. To develop this research we have followed a hypothetical-deductive method. We formulated the hypothesis through a previous exploration of cultural practices in media art and then we tried to compromise it through the analysis of a corpus of photographic and videographic practices, reading them from the aesthetic and philosophical tradition of art. | ca_CA |
