Information and Communications technology (ICT) have change communication system. They have allowed social movements influence media agenda with their issues. An example of these is the case of Valencia’s subway accident 3rd July in 2006 and Victims Association. The aim of this paper is to analyse the changes that are occurring in setting the public agenda, specifically in social movement’s issues, to discover the penetration of these issues in conventional media and, finally, in the politic agenda. The methodology of this research is the case study, namely, the case of Valencia metro accident. It was been used a hybrid technique between quantitative content analysis and interviews to different profiles. The subway accident case returns to public agenda after the broadcast television Salvados and in the moment when Victims Association exerts more social pressure on the digital and urban space. Howevwr, despite the popularity of social networks like Twitter, social movements still need mass media to reach a wider audience and to influence the political agenda. [-]
