The year 2012 – and we have taken the minimum amount of time that can be considered reasonable to reflect on the matter – as a whole could hardly be more negative, from the social and political point of view. This situation is not limited to just our country, but it has nonetheless become a chronic problem here. When things are the way they are, under the dictatorship of the markets and the economically powerful (who are not elected democratically, but are effective in their impoverishment of society – to use the a priori unbiased words of the journalist Iñaki Gabilondo), then in the face of despair everything is set for the appearance of utopia. Unfortunately, history does not repeat itself, although its devastating effects on citizens do. [-]
