In this paper the author analyzes some aspectes related to the basic triade structure of a political speech sub-genre, a face-to-face debate between two Spanish leaders in the 1993 general elections of this country. In the first part of the work and from a structural point of view, he recognizes two basic macro-triadic structures in the speech event: first the triangle of the TV studio where two antagonist candidates and a moderator are represented and second the virtual trilogue constructed by these two candidates and the audience, true addresse of the TV program. Next some cases of triadic sequences are analyzed, i.e. , some interlocutive outlines in which three interlocutors are represented. For that purpose two interpretative factors are used, the simultaneity/succession axis and the direct allocution/dellocution axis, respectively. The combination of both enables to distinguish some general triadic structures. Finally in the last section of the work, some attention is dedicated to the formation of some coalitions between some of the members of the participants framework, mainly the moderator or one of the political rivals on the one hand and the audience on the other hand.
