Este trabajo consiste en analizar las raíces de la violencia desde las teorías culturales y genéticas.
Para abordar el factor cultural se estudiará la institución familiar, los valores morales, los medios de
comunicación y la propia comunidad; y para el factor genético o innatista, el plano interior del ser
humano, esto es, el cerebro y sus bases biológicas. Ya en los comienzos de la civilización se encuentran
actos violentos que con el progreso y la evolución social no han desaparecido, sino que han cambiado;
además, si por naturaleza fuéramos violentos, la raza humana no hubiera sobrevivido porque no habría
solidaridad de unos miembros para con otros. Cualquier acto de violencia tanto verbal como física
indica un comportamiento social inadaptado que se desarrolla desde la infancia hasta la adolescencia
a causa de factores sociales y culturales. Por lo tanto, se estudia este tema para concluir que las raíces
de la violencia están en la cultura y que existen algunos ámbitos misteriosos de tipo biológico que
predisponen a la violencia, pero no la determinan, pese a la interdependencia existente entre naturaleza
y cultura. Asimismo, se presentan estrategias para prevenir y eliminar las conductas violentas
aprendidas. [-]
