Durante mucho tiempo, la investigación en agresión se ha centrado en las agresiones directas. Así, los
hombres parecen utilizar más agresiones directas que las mujeres. Sin embargo, investigaciones actuales
se centran también en agresiones de tipo más social, las agresiones indirectas. En este tipo de agresión
no se han hallado diferencias de género. Por otro lado, la personlidad es una de las variables psicológicas
más importantes como vulnerabilidad a las conductas agresivas. Así, la impulsividad/desinhibición es
la característica de personalidad más directamente relacionada con la agresión. El presente trabajo se
centra en el estudio de las agresiones directas (física y verbal) e indirectas, evaluadas con una versión
española del EADI (Björkqvist et al., 1992) y con la versión española del AQ (Andreu et al., 2002),
y las dimensiones de personalidad evaluadas mediante la versión española del NEO FFI (Sanz et al.,
1999) y el SCSR (Torrubia et al., 2001) en una muetra de 107 sujetos (56 hombres y 51 mujeres). Los
resultados indicaron que sólo existían diferencias de género para la agresión física directa a favor de
los hombres. La impulsividad/desinhibición fue la variable de personalidad más relevante para las
conductas agresivas. [-]
